Do you have missing teeth that are making you feel self-conscious about your appearance? One or more missing tooth can have an effect on the way you eat and talk resulting in a lack of confidence and a nagging sensation that makes you feel like you’re not quite yourself.
A popular solution to missing teeth for older and younger patients alike is dentures or false teeth. Dentures are removable false teeth that are carefully constructed for each individual patient to ensure they fit perfectly over the gums to replace missing teeth and eliminate all the problems mentioned above.
Made from acrylic, nylon or metal, dentures can either be complete or partial, meaning they’ll either replace just one or a few missing teeth or they’ll replace all of the upper or lower teeth.
Cosmetic Dentures at Sohal Dental Practice
Our expert team of dentists and dental technicians work hard to create the perfect dentures for our patients. If you require complete dentures, the speed with which they can be fitted will be down to the treatment you have received previously as with some patients, waiting for their gums to heal is the first step. Once this is complete the dentures can be created based on an impression taken of your mouth and will be carefully adjusted to the colour of your remaining teeth or your desired colour.
When fitting partial dentures, your dentist is likely to make use of metal clips to hold them in place making them easy to remove when required. It’s also possible that a tooth coloured clip can be used, although this is likely to be more brittle than its metal alternative.
